InterCity Group (NZ) Ltd is controlled by Tranzit Group of Masterton, New Zealand and Ritchies Transport of Timaru. Tranzit is owned by the Snelgrove family and Ritchies by the Ritchie family. Nelson SBL also has a small stake in InterCity.
